what color the base board? The windows and doors are natural pine?

I am remodeling the kitchen family room great room.Kitchen cabinets are nutmeg cherry. I have natural wood windows which i want to stain dark. I bought natural pine base board too. Does the base board have to be white or should be the same color as the windows? Also I am thinking of dark hardwood floors too!

ALWAYS do white we tried to match and it looks so tacky. White is clean cut and looks very nice no matter what.

Same as the windows will define the space and highlight the nice new baseboards. It will promote continuity in the space.

To me it will depend on the difference in colour or the nutmeg cherry and the finished colour of the floor.
As a rule your skirting boards (base) should be the same colour as your arcitraves around your doors and windows.
