Calling all dog trainers! How do I get my dogs to stop chewing on a wooden post I have in my backyard?

It’s an 8×12 wooden post that holds up the patio along with another on the other side. I have two white labradors that keep chewing on it and now the paint is chipped off and the wood is all distorted with teeth marks.

So, dog trainers, what method can I use to make them stop chewing it up? No sarcastic answers please!

My stress is WAY out of control! Something must be done before it kills me?

When I was a child, I didn’t even know stress existed. I was such a happy, carefree child who made friends with everyone. There wasn’t a single, bad, suspecting bone in my entire body. Unfortunately, that all changed when I went to High School & was badly bullied, almost to the point of destroying my faith in goodness in the world & good people! Following my extreme terror in High School, I was diagnosed with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) as an aftermath & my fear rose. The good news is, all of that took place almost 10 years ago. I’m 23 now & my IBS is almost a thing of the past.

However, lately I’ve noticed that my stress is WAY out of control. Before I finally found my two most PERFECT jobs that I’m truly happy & relaxed in, I quit many of my past jobs because of stress. I **** STRESS! It doesn’t take much to frighten me. Just yesterday, this random guy on the street stuck his finger up at me for no reason! I’ve been frightened since.
What can I do about stress?!

Helly. A big THANK YOU for your wonderful advice! You are obviously a very wise & sensible young lady who really knows her stuff. I too use relaxation techniques very similar to a few you mentioned. My most favourite technique of all is lying on my bed, listening to my favourite hypnotherapy CDs by Glenn Harrold (there are many wonderful titles & I collect them) with the fragrance of Lavender in my room. I love Lavender! It’s so relaxing.

JE. I’m not entirely sure WHAT you mean by your answer, but I kinda FEEL what you mean.

Do I have a cavity under the filling?

I had my teeth filled last year and now I’m experiencing sensitivity on one of my teeth. Every time I chew gum for a long period of time, a certain tooth gets really sensitive. After I brush my teeth, it’s fine. I’m wondering if the dentist that did my fillings left a little spec of cavity in there. Or, if he didn’t, then what might be the problem?

The pain of the sensitivity only happens after I chew a piece of gum (or maybe candy too?) for a long period of time, then it’s fine after I brush my teeth. Could it be the sugar from the chewing gum? If not that, then what? I’m going to make an appointment tomorrow so I can get an X-ray done on my mouth. Until then, I’m looking for an answer. Any help is appreciated.
Why would it just be that tooth and no others though?

I am beyond FRUSTRATED cat food question?

I have asked this question a long time ago and now I am asking again. I am trying to find one of the BEST DRY cat foods on the market for my 2 rescue kitties. One of me cats was an abuse case and has suffered so much in her life. I have given her the life of luxury now and want nothing but the best for her. She is also prone to having gum problems. They both get there share of wet food but my one cat prefers dry so I get them dry also. I have been feeding eukanuba and am wanting to know if that is a good food? Real meat was the first ingredient I am just afraid besides that I am unsure of what I should be looking for. I have been looking also at EVO and Wellness Core are these the best? Are they better than the eukanuba or about the same? Is there a better brand that someone suggests? Again, I just want the best for them. My one cat has already suffered so much.

How long does gum stay in your system?

My son swallowed a piece and asked how long it would be in his belly. His grand-pa says 2 days. The old-wives-tale says seven years. Anyone have a clue?

Help is this healthy can it kill me?

Some times i eat gum….like trident,stride,orbit,and so on and so on,but is it healthy i literaly will nible at it and swallow or when i am done with it i swallow it? Is that good. If not what can it do to me? But i do this way to much at least once a day. If its bad how can i stop its become a habit all most**0

Does your chewing gum lose its flavor on the bed post every night?

Thanks–”over night” it is! Some claim that chewing sugarless gum after a meal aids in getting debris off the teeth. At least it does freshen your breath.

Why does My amp fuse keeps blowing?

I have a sony xplod 500 watt 2 channel amp. It is a bridgeable amp. But every time i bridge it and turn up the music the fuse keeps blowing. What could be the problem.

I got a root canal and the gum around it just fell off will it grow back?

So i got a root canal. Went home the gum was purple. After a couple days it got darker then today it just fell off in class. Now a lot more tooth is exposed. Will it grow back?
