Is it normal to still have pain 6 days after having your wisdom teeth taken out?

Mostly have pain after I have eaten or when I’m laying down but occasionally some throbbing when doing neither of these things. The gums around my other teeth are swollen too…is this normal? I am on antibiotics for an infection I developed day two after surgery.

When I was a kid 11-12 (so that would be around 20 years ago) I used to wear shades and a leather jacket three sizes too big and chew gum I went round to a friends house for pancakes and milk and I took the bit of gum out and put it behind my ear (yes bring on the ewwww) of course after the meal when I went to try to retrieve the gum it had stuck to my hair and I felt very uncool as my friends aunt hacked away at the gum with a pair of scissors.

If anyone has similar stories let us know :)

What can I pass out to trick or treaters besides candy?

I know Halloween is when kids want to stock up on candy…but I kind of want to do something different. I’ll still give out candy, but I don’t want kids to just get candy (and rotting teeth) for Halloween. What are some other things that I can pass out? And who are the popular characters that children like these days (I only know Hannah Montana and High School Musical, but I don’t know who smaller children like)? Any ideas? Thanks.

Iron Deficiency Anemia - Among other things - PLEASE HELP?

Hi, I’m 14, Male. Just had a growth spurt (just under a foot) over the past 6 months or so. I know that this could cause a lack of iron in my body, But I want to know If I actually have it, or not. I’m a paranoid person, So yeah. I hardly ever eat healthy, I didn’t eat much for about 2-3 weeks about 3 months ago, This is when I started to get sick ect. I have an enlarged lymph node on the backside of my neck, No bigger than my index finger fingernail. I also have white spots on my arms, A fair few of them at that. Yep. My fingernails are spoon shaped, Just found that out then, the also have vertical stripes on them, slightly raised, they also have white spots on them. and they are paleish, Enough about my fingers. my body feels hot, then cold then hot, Been having mood swings. Can’t concentrate, Feel like eating stuff like ice, but don’t (yeah that’s a symptom). I can’t go to bed, (insomnia). It’s 3:30AM right now :) I’m not active, I’m pretty lazy, I weigh about 60 Kilos, Also have trouble breathing at times, as well as not being able to hold my breath underwater as long as I used to. I’m also Very tired at times. I also get dizzy, and ’see stars’ at times. A little joint pain (But that’s all the fun of growing, right? :P) My heart pulse is weak, and sometimes pumps fast, and slow, Also a bit of chest pain. My tongue is sore too, And my gums feel bigger than normal.. Basically I’m freaking out…I’m really scared I guess. Does any one have ANY idea what I have? what to do? and who to see/ask about it? ask questions, i will answer them :) I’m not sure what else to add…. (I can post pictures of anything you need (within Reason) if needed.) THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING YOUR TIME TO READ AND (Hopefully) REPLY!

My Sump Pump runs every 40-50 seconds. How can I fix this so it does not burn out?

I have a submersible pump (1/2 hp) with out an external float (it appears that there is a switch on the side of the pump that triggers it to kick on). When I unplug the pump, the water stops flowing in at the level of the drain pipe and stops completely. When I look outside of the house, the pvc pipe runs underground for about 30 feet until it reaches a sizable puddle in the back yard that swells when the pump runs, then recedes when it shuts off. I have a partial unfinished basement with a small lake ~1/2 an acre away. The sump pump itself appears to be deep in the well as opposed to previous homes that I have owned (~7-10 inches below the water drain). I am worried that at a time of crisis (strong rain) that the sump will burn out because it runs too often when the weather is dry. I am new to the house as we moved in ~2 weeks ago. We live in northern Illinois. Any help would be appreciated!

Is it true that chewing gum on a plane will keep your ears from popping?

I was wondering…because i have never flown before and i have to tomorrow. Does it work? Also… will your bra be picked up on the metal detector if it has underwire in it?

can a jaw(chewing gum to much or its displaced)/grinding teeth lead to tinnitus or something like that?

the doc said i have the ringing in my ear because my jaw or somethnig is messed up for chewing gum alot. and that i might be grinding my teeth which is being cause from that.

i dont chew gum alot but maybe i just had a displace jaw
can tinnitus really be cause be that
im pretty sure i dont grind my teeth- it doesnt hurt in the morning my teeth doesnt look like its been grinded

i think i have tinnitus, but i went to 2 doctor alreadly. 1 didnt know and sent be to this doctor and he said something wrong with my jaw?

bonus. what happens when they fix my jaw? plz dont tell me i have to wear that metal like helmet- like the one i charle and the chocolate factory

Why does our cat chew on EVERYTHING?

I’ve had several cats before. He’s the only one I can ever think of that chews on everything. Everything from shoes, cardboard boxes, and the corners of the tables. If he gets ahold of it, he even holds the remote control with both paws and chews on it, too. He’s not hungry, I know that, he’s probably the biggest cat I’ve ever had at 15.5 lbs. He doesn’t miss a meal. He’s almost a year and half old, so I know he has his permanent teeth now. Is he just a dog trapped in a cat’s body?

Why is my gum covering my back tooth?

my gum is covering most of my back tooth,and its getting bigger
first it was kinda num,but now its bothering me.can someone tell me what is it?and how to treat it?
its leaving a gap between my other tooth.
theres a bump on it.
