i was told when i get braces to chew sugar free gum (sugar free so it wouldn’t stick to my braces) the pain would go away faster

How can you reduce gum swelling effectively?

It seems that when I eat saltier foods they swell up the night of or the day after. However, an assistant from the ortho said salt is good for cleansing the gums?

I also got my braces off a few months ago. I still wear my retainer, that seems to make the swelling occur too.

My front tooth hurts, please help quickly?!

I wear braces and a couple of days ago I noticed this pain in my left front tooth (right to people looking at me) It only really hurts when I press down on the brace bracket. I haven’t had them tightened recently so it cant be that, but some other teeth on the right hand side of my mouth hurt as well. Could it be because of a secondary molar or is it gum/tooth disease, or possible enamel erosion. I’m really scared that i will have to lose that tooth, I’m only 15 and I don’t drink full sugar coca cola or even diet every day, not even weekly! I don’t eat that much chocolate either. Please help

I do have very good oral hygeine, and i brush on average twice a day.

Ratainer making the roof of my mouth bleed?

I got my braces off 2 weeks ago and have been wearing my retainer nearly 24/7 as prescribed.
However, it makes my mouth bleed.
Not like a little blood, but to the point that when i take out my retainer the color (pink) is blood red, and soaked in blood.

It hurt so bad! One side of my lip is swollen, but not bleeding. However, one of my front teeth started bleeding a little. It didn’t bleed at the gums, but bleed at the braces part of it (The part that is glued to your teeth!) What should I do? I’m putting ice on my lip right now…but I suspect that my braces moved a little bit!! I have an orthodontist appointment next thurs….or should i call in 2morrow
I hit it on the wall because I was bending down to get something and then I turned up and to my left really fast and didn’t notice the wall so close.

Ever since I was little I’ve always had crooked teeth. This isn’t a cosmetic problem really; it’s almost medical now. I’m 15 years old and my wisdom teeth are growing in, one is already over the gum. On my top, my teeth are too big for my gums and it causes a lot of crowded. And it’s worse that my wisdom teeth are coming in. I’ve always been told that i need braces but recently I’m told that I need jaw surgery. It’s seems hopeless now. Can anyone help me or give me advice on what to do??? Please

and my gums/teeth are really hurting
BAD!!! and my braces are scrapeing the side of my mouth
and it hurts to talk.
lately ive been taking that sugar like “goodys” and that stops the pain for a couple of hours
but what foods can i eat (that are soft)
that wont hurt my mouth!!!
ive just been eating scrambled eggs and mashed potatoes
gettin a lil tired of it lol

Just the other day, my orthodontist gave me these Orthodontic elastic rubberbands to put on around the brackets so my all my bottom teeth will all move together all at once to close the little gaps I have. He instructed me to change it every morning when I wake up and every night when I go to sleep and not to let them touch my gums because they will irritate them. They are a white-beigish color, I’m not sure if they come in any other color than that….but I was wondering…if I put two at the same time will my teeth move even faster?
