should I have my wisdom tooth out?

My molar three (M3) (bottom left) has being giving me jip - I have pericoronitis and had to go to the emergency dentist late last night. He drained it, flushed it, syringed it with corsodyl and gave me a 5 day course of metronidazole (evil stuff!)

For people that don’t know what pericoronitis is it is where the M3 is semi errupting (half in/half out) the gum and there is an infection because the area logistically cannot be kept as clean as one would like.

For those that have had this problem - have you had the tooth removed or was the pericoronitis a one off? its not the first time I’ve had trouble with errupting M3 - last time was about 5 years ago however there was no infection - just swelling.

I’m in the UK so it would be free at the dental hospital - not at the dentists. go the NHS!

I have to think about this option before Wednesday when I see my regualt dentist.

Please advise.

Can dentist fix gapped front teeth in adults and what is the procedure?

Does any insurance cover getting front teeth with a gap taken care of ? And what do the dentists usually do with that type of situation ? Do they put on only a brace for the front teeth or is it to late when an individual is older? What is the usual span of how long it takes for the procedure to work?

Any Montreal dentists using gas?

I have much painful work to be done to my teeth and gums and would like to know if there are any Montreal, Canada, dentist offices that use gas masks to eliminate pain, instead of the painful needles that don’t do Jack!

I would like to know if dentists have a legal right to make their employees leave early if they are done early

I work for a dentist and sometimes I don’t get to stay until the time that he’s suppose to close because sometimes he’s done early and unfortunately for me I get to clock out early as well so I would like to know if the dentist is within his legal right to not pay me until the time that he’s supppose to close or am I being short changed ?

Crazy dental question?

Okay….I lost my front tooth which is not very astetically pleasing. It is a sunday and a long weekend so I wont be able to get into the dentists office until tuesday. Is there a way I can temporarily put my tooth back in safely until tuesday? Also, there is a small part of the tooth still in my gums.
I guess I should add some details. A few years ago I had an impacted tooth removed that was in the gum right above my front tooth. When they removed it they accidentally cut a nerve and killed the front tooth. We did a few procedures to mend the darkness of the tooth after it died. But evidently the tooth was under too much pressure and it feel out while I was eating.
