My kitten and her teeth?

I have a kitten who will be one year old on 9/1/08. She is a rescue and I’ve had her for 8 months. She is having serious dental issues already including gingivitis and a tooth that most likely needs to be pulled in the next few months. I don’t think I will be able to brush her teeth, but have found some CET treats along with some kind of “wipe” to use on her teeth. I am not sure what to feed her though. Right now she gets dry & canned food and doesn’t seem to have any problems. Thoughts?
Libby is on Science Diet dry for kittens and wet for kittens. I am changing her when her food runs out.
The vet isn’t ready to pull her teeth or even work on them entirely due to her being so young. He wants to see if the “home” dental thing will work firts.

ok, i really really REALLY need help?

ok i have a lot of problems, is there someone who can tell me what i can do? or what i have?
ok, im not supposed to see my doctor until the 23 this month, i have been suffering since thursday of last week. on monday and tuesday of last week i felt fine. wed. night my neck started hurting and the lymph node in my neck started to grow. the next day i got a fever, i have overcome the fever since last friday. from thurs to sun. i had ice on my neck, that didnt help, oh yes and between thursday and sunday i got gingivitis, sore lips and a cold sore, and a sore thraot. but the sore throat is gone and my neck and mouth is in so much pain. now i have to wait til i go to the doctors on the 23. i cant last that long, it hurts really bad. what do i have and what should i do?

Hi,
I took my little 23 month old sister to do the pediatritian today, she has been running a fever or 102.2 for the past 3 days.
She doesn’t have any other symptoms of anything else, only the high fever, she has been complaining of her itchy gums.
He said her itchy gums are due to the high fever.. I was like WHAT??? Gingivitis due to fever?
So, the doctor said that is a virus going around right now, but how come during the day she’s fine but between 3 pm to 6 pm the fever comes back 1 hours before her next dose of tylenol?
Some weird “virus” this is???!!!
another thing I noticed is that when she wakes up from taking a nap since she’s tired her breath is a little stinkier then usual???
Help anyone?

EMERGENCY! I need to know why my teeth are so loose?

I am 18 years old. I’m studying to be a D.A and I feel my front teeth really loose, which includes my centrals, laterals, and canines. I feel like a popping sound and they move when I talk, eat, drink, or touch my skin around my lips. Both of my teachers, which used to be D.As, checked my teeth and said there’s nothing wrong with them. That they move because they need some sort of mobility, and it’s class 1 mobility. That my gums look healthy and there’s no sign of gingivitis. They say it’s psychological what’s happening to me. Now they hurt but it’s because I have a cold sore on my maxillary gums. They also said that since I never got braces, my teeth are too crowded, and that’s why they move. But I’ve been feeling them move since a week ago. I brush at least 3 times a day, and I’m too scared to floss, because last time I did, I felt them really lose. My molars bleed when I floss, but I know it’s because I need a deep cleaning. Last time I went to the dentist was when I had medicaid, which I believe it was 2 years ago. I don’t have dental bridge or dentures. I’m not treated for a medical condition. I live in the US. I don’t have a dentist yet, but my friend works in a dental office and they charge only $30.00 for a check up,but I haven’t had time to go. My mom is going to try to get medicaid again, since I heard I can get it if I’m a college student. My teachers tell me not to worry, that my teeth will not fall out. But I’m still scared, it even took away my happiness and I’ve had panic attacks because I don’t want to lose my teeth. Is it possible that my teeth are loose because I haven’t had braces in so long? Or could it be since I don’t have my wisdom teeth or braces, they are loose because they’re spreading apart? I really need help, and I definetely don’t want to find out that I’ll loose my teeth.

the other day after i got up i brushed my teeth and there was blood in the sink.. And now my gums are swollen only my bottom gums tho not my top ones.. my teeth dont hurt only my gums.. im in a lot of pain!! what should i do ?

Gingivitis? Sore gums from popcorn?

I probably dont brush my teeth as often as I should. When I do I usually get a little bleeding and redness around the base of my teeth. Usually if I start brushing much more often it eventually goes away.
3 CommentsAnyway, I ate some popcorn last night and got a piece stuck in my gum. I got it out with my tongue, but today it feels a bit red, inflamed and tender where the popcorn was. It doesn’t hurt that bad, but I am a hypochondriac and worry. Is this gingivitis or a more serious infection?
Do I need to go to the doctor (I have my teeth cleaned regularily) or will brushing and using Listerine take care of it on its own? How do you tell the difference between gingivitis and something more serious like an abscess?

okay so recently when I brushed my teeth my gums really started t hurt verrrry bad when I went near them with my tooth brush,one part of gum near the front even started to bleed. even after I was done brushing my gums hurt when i ate or drank anything cold. so I know that I have the starting stage of gingivitis and that I need to see a dentist but in the mean time what should I do it really hurts when I brush but I need to brush HELP MEEE PLEASEE lol

A couple of days ago i was brushing my teeth and i spit and noticed a very small amount of blood. this worried me. So, then i decided maybe i should floss. I don’t floss often, i haven’t in a very long time. So, i started to floss, and most of my gums started to bleed a little bit. The next morning was okay, my gums didn’t hurt. Then, i flossed again at night, and brushed, and used mouthwash. This morning, my gums had receded a small bit over night, the gums on my front teeth had receded enough to make my mouth feel a bit funny. I asked my mom, and she said maybe it was flossing that made them recede a bit, and that my gums would get stronger after i kept flossing, you know, grow back.
iv’e heard about gingivitis and such, and some of the symptoms sound the same. i just want to know if it’s normal to floss and have gums reced a bit after. i mean, i haven’t flossed in about 8 or 9 months, so i just wanted to know what’s going on in my mouth.

One more health issue and im DONE?

at 27 having prostate issues and having lower back pain … severe panic attacks …..so bad that i cant swallow my food. Feeling like God is going to crush any atttempt i make to better myself because it MIGHT not be in his will!. I feel like dying,this time like NEVER before. Last night i had nightmares so bad that in my subconscious i started to pray i was so scared i got chills. last night i realized i have a minor case of gingivitis, so NOW i have to find out what i need to do to have that taken care of… ppl cant see or understand my situation when they have their family and loving friends……..i thought ppl at church were different then the ones in this world. GUESS NOT.
