How can his annoying gum-chewing be stopped?

Hello,
I am a sophomore in high school, and in my math class the guy who sits behind me always has gum. And he makes it very noticeable when he’s chewing it, because he pops and smacks and slurps at his gum and it drives me absolutely crazy! I know it’s a little juvenile of me to be irritated by that, but it’s just one of my pet peeves. I don’t want to directly ask him to spit his gum out because I am quite shy, but do you think it would be rude of me to quietly notify the teacher, so maybe she will ask him to spit it out? Any other suggestions?

Does chewing gum a lot affect your articulation?

I’m a gum addict and I chew gum for at least 5 hours a day. However, i noticed that my articulation skills have been decreasing either with or without gum in my mouth. Is it possible that this is due the extended gum chewing period?

Ive been chewing it for a year now. That also means a year as an ex-smoker! But, Im hooked on the gum and dont want to quit it anytime soon. I hope Im not harming myself.

I’ve seen and heard people doing this before but never understood how someones gum can pop and ***** in there mouth literally continously nonstop and all they are doing is chewing it, so if you are one of these talented people can you explain how its done??

i was chewing some gum and thought , well this is weird i have bought something that i put in my mouth and chew then spit out… i cant seem to think of anything beneficial about it. can someone tell me where it originated from and why we chew it?
