My dentist had one of the hygenist do a deep cleaning on all four quadrants of my mouth because I hadn’t been in a long time and needed it. He said he wanted her to put an anti biotics cream in there afterwards because he did see signs of gum disease and I had sever bleeding. The hygenist did the cleaning but did not give me the anti biotic, she said she wanted me to come back in 2 weeks and she would do it then. Well, in 2 weeks I was sick and had to cancel my appt and reschedule it. I have a sore throat, sinuses are all backed up, my face hurts, my mouth hurts. I went to the ER and they said I have a viral infection. I didn’t think about the fact that my teeth hurt and my face hurts around my mouth until this morning. A friend suggested that maybe I am sick cause infection was released from the deep cleaning and I wasn’t given the anti biotic.

Tooth is next to wisdom tooth in bottom. The tooth still hurts one week later. Have gum disease too and dentist did deep cleaning around 1/2 of bottom teeth. With root canal dentist said one nerve canal was already dead, but felt tooth may be savable. I have pain that radiates to left ear off & on, plus pain on back of neck - feels like a slight lump, plus sore lymph nodes in front of neck.
I had been on antibiotics for the last couple of weeks. Still have some pain in the neck and back of the neck and tooth is still relatively sore. Does anyone know if there are objective findings with a tooth that needs a root canal. Seems like a lot of the treatment is hit or miss.

The other day I was given a sample of doggy toothpaste, and yesterday I bought a doggy toothbrush from a pet shop to try and try it out. The toothbrush I got has two heads, so you can brush both sides of the teeth at once.
Our dog is 1yr 4 months now, and I’ve recently noticed some dental staining and whiffy breath. We haven’t brushed his teeth before, as he did quite a lot of chewing on toys, treats and we thought it was sufficient.
So, I tried to start brushing yesterday, which was an experience! Needless to say he didnt enjoy it, but I’ve now read up on how to break them in gently.
However, I did notice yesterday that his gums started bleeding a little where I had been able to brush them, on the inside.
Is this just because he hasnt had them done before, or does it mean he has gum disease?
Also should I continue to try to brush them, or go and see the vet?

For about a week now the gum above one of my teeth has been really painful. It bleeds when I brush it and is very red. Now it looks like it’s started to recede a little. How can I stop it? I have a dental appointment in a few weeks and I want it to be better before then, but I guess that probably won’t be possible.

I have a bubble-like formation at the upper left top of my gums. I’ve noticed my gums are trying to eat my teeth. Some of my teeth aren’t the same size anymore.
I’ve tried everything imaginable to rid of the problem, as I can’t afford the dentist. And afraid of what they may do.
Listerine, salt walter, whiskey, heating pad, ice, anti-bacteria and pain meds have been used to try and rid of the problem. Nothing has worked.
Alls I can do is cry, from pain and soon to be embarrassment, as I’m sure my teeth will probably fall out.

I am so annoyed at myself from not taking care of my teeth properly, because of being too lazy!

Is there anything else I can try before spending heaps of money at the dentist?
The pain and whatnot has been going on for nearly a week. I’ve read on here that popping it isn’t a good idea.
I don’t work and live with my mom. We struggle financially as it is. We don’t have credit cards.

i have mild hemophilia, a bleeding disorder. then i have also gum disease. i already went to the dentist several times last year for medication. but they are afraid to clean my teeth for it might be bleeding. although they clean but not thoroughly because they are afraid. i have to go to hematology first before having dental medication. now, i felt so hopeless. is there a cure for my disease? i have been suffering this gum disease for already two years now. i hope my gums will be back to normal. Please give me some advice regarding what should i do.

So my gums are bleeding, and my older sister insist that I use some kind of “Corsodyl mouthwash”. Where can I purchase these at? If you can provide me links for it, I’d be really grateful.

I went to the dentist in may, she just showed me how to brush correctly and floss. Well i didn’t flossed my teeth at all at home and i didn’t care much about the teeth washing. I mean i brushed my teeth but not always, sometimes i forget just. Well my gums are always been red. But now my front down teeth, well the gums are a bit open from the teeth. Well my question, does it “grow” back to the teeth, how much time it takes? And now of course i pay more attention to my teeth and the redness has gone away ( for 2 weeks i have been careful) from the front down, but it just doesn’t want to go away from upper teeth and they now began to be a bit soft too. I wash 2 a day, floss once and use moutwash. But i use electric brush, should i use manual? I know, i want to go the docor. but i have time in august. What can i do in home? Oh and i noticed on some lower teeth a like pocket is forming ? I’m sorry i don’t know how to express myself

Is it gingivitis or is it more- perodontis?
Is it ok when i go in august to the dentist? and they are not receded yet, it’s just little open you know? if you look at them you don’t see anything, but if you touch them, then you see.
