What can I do about the pain?
September 14th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I just had a root canal done a couple hours ago and I am back at work. The dr told me to take some tylenol for the pain bc I’m pregnant so I cant really take anything else. But tylenol does nothing for me. I’m not looking for other medicine to take but other pain releiving methods. How do I know if to use ice or heat? Is there any acupuncture spots I might can hit to help? The numbing is about to go away so I want to get ahead of the pain i know i’ll have in my gums.

My baby wont stop crying?
September 12th, 2009 Posted by: admin
He is 4 months old on the 11th and he used to be so calm. He’d only cry when he was hungry, wanted love, or needed to be changed. At 2 months old he had some colic, but we cured this with some gas drops.
And I read that as they get older they cry less. But my son cries almost constantly now. He is happy and laughing and playing for maybe 4 hours a day. The rest is crying. I feed him, change him, hold him. Nothing seems to be what he wants. We rock him, walk with him, sing to him, we even tried just leaving him alone, tried the drops again, but nothing can soothe him.
He is not over stimulated or bored. We have tried everything recommended by doctors and family.
Now my mom says maybe he is teething but he has not given any signs other than crying and his gums are still so tough, tylenol doesn’t work so i don’t believe it is that he is pain and the doctor says he wont start until 6 months…..but my son is advanced as he can hold his head up and almost sit up on his own now and when i see my friend’s baby that was born just 2 weeks after mine and he cant do any of this. he still seems so fragile and meek as to where Ethan (my baby) is 20+ lbs and ahead of the curve. And her baby cries so quietly as to where Ethan SCREAMS. That I WAS jealous of.
But I am wondering what I am doing wrong….what is this constant crying if it isn’t his 3 basic needs or gas?
I am at my wits end and like I said I have tried everything. I dont know what to do from here. But me and his daddy are losing it. Any ideas??

** I did recently start him on cereal as direted by doctors but he still has regular bowel movements. so he isnt constipated.
** also we thought mb it was bc he was tired and was fighting sleep so we tried laying him down before he became exhausted, this did NOT work. He remains cranky even after naps.

My tooth hurts really bad, so bad I am screaming and crying. I have tried orajel, Advil, Vicodin, Norcor, Tramadol, Ice Pack, Heating pad and nothing has helped at all. Cold water feels really good on it. The gums around the tooth is swollen and kinda whiteish. It makes my right ear hurt also. I have an appt. for Dentist on August 12th, its the soonest appt. they could give me. I can’t stand the pain and I can’t even eat….it hurts too bad. Any ideas cause I am out of it. My friend told me to put orajel in the ear that was hurting and I even tried that! Alot of people told me to try vodka and some other alchol but Im not even 21, im only 20. It hurts when I talk or bite down. I can hardly sleep. Please help me I can’t take this pain any longer!
